Well as always the weekend started off with a sickness :( Caden woke up Friday morning with a 104.8 fever so we took him to the ER. 1 strep test and a chest x-ray later we were on our way home with no answers. His fever continued through the weekend but we still managed to have some fun! Grandma and Grandpa Meinweiser came down for a visit. On Saturday we took a quick trip to Lowes to get some more supplies for our new fence which Brian will be putting up shortly. Grandma, Izzy and I took a trip to Carters and got Isabel some summer clothes...did I mention that store is bad news! I always spend way too much money! We also died Easter eggs on the back porch since the weather was so nice. Sunday we had an egg hunt for Caden and Easter baskets for both kids. Caden also received a wheelbarrow and some tools from Mimi and Pop, which seemed to brighten his spirits a bit. We had a nice Easter dinner and finished off the weekend with some yummy apple and cherry pie! Monday morning we took Grandma and Grandpa to the airport and I took Caden to the doctor since his fever still hadn't broke. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and reactive airway disorder...which is what they diagnose kids with who show signs of asthma. He was prescribed antibiotics and 2 steroids to be given through his nebulizer everyday until we hear differently. Thankfully though he is starting to feel much better and our Easter weekend was enjoyable even with a sick toddler!
