Baby Sage...she will be 14 months old tomorrow and right now she is fighting for her life. I have been following Sage's story and emailing with her mother since I learned of her Leukemia diagnosis back in June of last year. Thankfully Sage beat the cancer and after many rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, she is in remission She was supposed to be released from Duke Medical Center but she wouldn't stop throwing up blood. On Monday, they did what was supposed to be a simple endoscopy to find out where the blood was coming from, but something went wrong. She started to bleed into her lungs and had to be put on 100% oxygen with a machine breathing for her. The doctors didn't think that she would make it through the night...but she did. And to every ones surprise she is down to 30% oxygen and could be taken off the breathing machine but the doctors want her lungs to have some time to heal. This is wonderful news, but now the doctors believe that her kidneys may be failing. This little girl has been though so much in her short life. Please, please pray for her and for her parents. I can't imagine what they are going through right now. Stay strong baby Sage...keep fighting!
